RHIZOME ECO-SOCIAL EDUCATION SOCIETY (RESES)

Lucie is a founding member, director, and facilitator at Rhizome Eco-Social Education Society, a collaborative organization with a mission to empower individuals and communities by creating inclusive and accessible ecological education programs and demonstration projects. Through her work with RESES, Lucie teaches several workshops that focus on the human dimensions of sustainabilty and land-based design. One of her workshop is Landscapes as Cultural Phenomena, which focuses on understanding how landcapes and human cultures co-create one another, with a focus on Indigenous land stewardship, as well as the impacts of colonization and capitalism on human landscape relationships.

PERMACULTURE WOMEN’S GUILD

Lucie is a faculty member, student mentor, and content developer for the Permaculture Design Certificate Course (with an optional Advanced Certificate in Social Systems Design). This course is an internationally recognized online Permaculture Design Certificate course taught by a team of 40 women from 13 countries around the world. Lucie developed the module on Economic Systems and edited and contributed content to various othe modules. She also was also asked to co-write and illustrate an all-ages permaculture colouring book featuring her original character, the Glarfles. This book is available to those who sign up for the PWG mailing list.
